Flamengo has been played on NTS shows including Andrew Weatherall Presents: Music's Not For Everyone, with Poprava Blond Holky first played on 12 May 2016.

Flamengo was one of the earliest Czech beat or bigbit groups from Prague that started out in the mid 60's, growing into one of the best czech prog/art rock group in the 70s. They recorded the best Czech progressive rock album "Kuře v hodinkách" (lineup: Vladimír Mišík (lead vocals, percussion), Jan Kubík (saxophone, flute, clarinet, vocals), Pavel Fořt (guitar, vocals), Ivan Khunt (organ, vocals), Vladimír "Guma" Kulhánek (bass guitar, vocals), Jaroslav "Erno" Šedivý (drums) ).
