DIN A Testbild was formed in 1978 by Mark Eins and Gudrun Gut. The band was a major force on Berlin's avant-garde scene and is also considered to shape the time of Neue Deutsche Welle. They released their debut LP, Programm 1 via Klaus Schulze's IC label in 1980. Gut would later form Malaria!.
