Nitetrax presents an exploratory range of club music every month, from classic and forgotten trax by the pioneers, to front line mutations by the innovators of today.
Sam Knee navigates and curates lost underground countercultural sounds with deep dives into specific sub-scenes, regions, years, labels of the near mythical 80’s post punk DIY indie guitar era and beyond, back to its 60s basement punk genesis.

Polish jazz group formed by Krzysztof Popek and Krzysztof Zawadzki. The band was existing in the second part of the 80's. Their first big success was the participating in 'Jazz nad Odrą' festival in 1986. Confirmation of their abilities and ambitions was a debut from 1987 - "Young Power". After that, monthly magazine Jazz Forum defind them as 'Big Band of the Year' and a leader - Krzysztof Popek - as 'Musician of the Year'. Eclectic and unique style of the group - mixing elements of jazz, rock, even reggae - could reminds of Weather Report's, Jaco Pastorious' or brothers Breckers' achievements sometimes.
In 1990 the band went inactive.
List of musicians who co-operated with Young Power:
Krzysztof Popek (flute, leader) Piotr Wojtasik (trumpet) Antoni Gralak (trumpet) Robert Jakubiec (trumpet) Robert Majewski (trumpet) Grzegorz Nagórski (trombone) Alek Korecki (alto saxophone, soprano saxophone) Włodzimierz Kiniorski (tenor saxophone) Adam Wendt (tenor saxophone) Waldemar Leczkowski (baritone saxophone) Wojciech Niedziela (keyboards, piano) Zbigniew Jakubek (keyboards) Andrzej Urny (guitar) Grzegorz Kapołka (guitar) Henryk Gembalski (violin) Marcin Pospieszalski (bass) Krzysztof Zawadzki (percussion) Jerzy Piotrowski (drums) Andrzej Ryszka (drums)Polish jazz group formed by Krzysztof Popek and Krzysztof Zawadzki.
