Woods Empire comprised of:Tommy Woods,Linda Renee,Rhonda MariaIris Yvonne,and Judith Ann Woods Empire made a brief appearance on the Soul Scene, in 1981, with the release of the album 'Universal Love' for the Tabu Records imprint. Based in L.A., the group were the brainchild of Tommy Woods, who brought the female singers together for this album, now regarded as a 'rare groove' offering, with the title track becoming highly sought after. The artistic line-up featured Paulinho Da Costa, John Barnes, Paul Jackson Jnr, Ollie Brown, Nathan Watts, Clarence McDonald and Dave Crawford.
