The J.J. Band (comprising musicians from the former Les Croque-morts and Les Babs Et Les Babettes) started out around 1966 as backing band for soul duo Jess & James, after whom they were named. The duo and their band became resident artists in Brussels club Les Cousins and ended up recording one album and a handful singles together. It was in this club that they were discovered by singer Jimmy Frey who invited them to perform on his eponymous album….
