Carlos Cutaia is a musician from Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was part of the Di Tella Institute, where he created the “Ostinato” opera and the theatre play “Señor Frankenstein” together with Ruben de León. He created “El Huevo” together with Miguel Abuelo and Pomo. He was part of Luis Alberto Spinetta's rock group “Pescado Rabioso”, together with Black Amaya and David Lebón.

Summoned by Charly García, and together with José Luis Fernández, Gustavo Bazterrica and Oscar Moro he was part of the rock band “La máquina de hacer Pájaros”.

He recorded “Ce Ce Cutaia” with Carola. He recorded “Ciudad de tonos lejanos” together with Oscar Moro. In 1985 he presented Orquesta with Daniel Melero and Alejandro Oucinde.

He also composed the rock opera “Romeo y Julieta,” premiered at the Coliseo Theatre in Buenos Aires.

He participated in “Cultrum” as one of the composers summoned by Luis Zubillaga. Together with Camilo Iezzi, he created “CCCI Producciones SRL,” a company dedicated to producing music for advertising. He did the musical arrangements of the National Symphony Orchestra for “Memphis La Blusera” at the Colon Theatre in Buenos Aires.

In 2004 he recorded, together with singer Liliana Barrios, Ezequiel Cutaia in double bass and Daniel “Pipi” Piazzola in drums, “Para la Guerra del Tango”, which obtained the Carlos Gardel award in 2005.

In 2005 he recorded “Sensación Melancólica”, which was nominated for the 2006 Carlos Gardel Awards. The record was performed by musicians Ezequiel Cutaia (double bass), Daniel "Pipi" Piazzola (drums), Luis Roggero (violin), Néstor Marconi and Alejandro Guerschberg (bandoneon), Liliana Barrios and Daniel Melingo (leading vox), Richard Nant (trumpet), Lucas Cutaia (electronic programming) and Florencia Ciarlo, Carolina Cutaia, Sofía Picasso and Nina Polverino (backing vocals).

In 2007 he recorded "BA Ensimismado”, together with Ezequiel Cutaia and Daniel "Pipi" Piazzola.
