Food

Food has been played on NTS shows including Acid Memories w/ Astral Vibes, with Here We Go Again first played on 2 November 2016.

There are at least 5 groups named Food:

1) Norwegian jazz 2) psychedelic rock 3) punk/sludge metal from VA 4) german pop-rock 5) american hip-hop duo

1) The Norwegian-English quartet Food keeps refining the mostly Norwegian brand of mixing free-form modern jazz and warm electronica, in a much more subtle and transparent manner than found on other Norwegian contemporary releases by musicians like keyboard player Bugge Wesseltoft or trumpeter Nils Petter Molvaer. Their discography includes five LPs: "Food" (1999, Feral), "Organic & GM Food" (2001, Feral), "Veggie" (2002, Rune Grammofon), "Last Supper" (2004, Rune Grammofon) and their latest album "Molecular Gastronomy" (2007, Rune Grammofon). Out of the new songs, "Nature's Recipe" already appeared on "Runeology 3".

Food consists of English saxophonist Iain Ballamy, once among the vanguard of the British fusion in bands such as drummer Bill Bruford's Earthworks; and Norwegians Arve Henriksen on trumpet, a member of the Norwegian electro-jazz-improv quartet Supersilent and a renowned solo trumpeter; Mats Eilertsen on bass, a member of Norwegian pianist Håvard Wiik's trio; and Thomas Strønen on drums and production, a key member of Swedish sax player Fredrik Nordström's Surd quartet and Virtual Imagination Unit and co-leader of a duo with Supersilent's keyboard player, Ståle Storløkken. This collective recorded two acoustic albums in live settings ( Food , Feral, 1999; Organic & GM Food , Feral, 2001) before beginning to experiment with electronics.

2) Psychedelic rock band, releasing the much sought-after private pressed LP "Forever Is A Dream" in 1969.

3) An American punk rock/sludge metal band from Richmond, Virginia signed to independent label Molsook Records. They released their debut album, self titled, on 12" vinyl in 2009.

4) A German pop-rock band. you can reach their music on www.foodmusic.de

5) An american hip hop duo consisting of tisakorean & Iamlilnacho (or just known as lil nacho) they released their debut mixtape "snapchat" in 2015
