A mix for sitting by the sea, relaxing while on holiday to a sun filled destination. Perhaps Latin America. Which is where the majority of the music originates from. As someone who mainly plays electronic music, inevitably this comes through in my selections.

Ecotone

Ecotone

Ecotone has been played on NTS shows including Night Shift w/ Diamondstein, with Arachnophobia first played on 17 December 2016.

Ecotone was a post-hardcore band from Central New Jersey, United States.

Writing catchy songs while still maintaining credibility as a heavy band is a feat Ecotone has managed to pull off, and the band always seems to stand out at shows with a unique brand of urgency and emotional intensity. Ecotone has shared the stage with many large acts: Aiden, The Bled, The Sleeping, and From Autumn To Ashes to name a few, and has crafted an energetic live show full of flying guitar necks and swinging microphone cables.

Ecotone's most recent effort Here You Are, Here You Belong, a 6-song EP recorded and mixed by Arun Venkatesh and Tim Gilles (Taking Back Sunday, Thursday, 36 Crazyfists) opens with “Cement Hands are Heavy (Raise Your Glass)”, characterized by sudden double-kick blasts under a whirlwind of textured guitars. Standout tracks like “Let's Call Him Johnny Boy” and “Hammerback” take listeners on a ride from sing-along choruses and infectious verses to up-tempo two-steps and swinging breakdowns. The band seamlessly combines catchy choruses and hooks, ambient technicality, and churning breakdowns into songs that stick with listeners and keep them coming back.

Members: Bobby - Vocals Dan - Guitar Rohan - Bass Chris - Drums
