Jazz guitarist Emily Remler (1957-1990) rose to prominence in the 1980s, primarily playing bop guitar with her own groups. Her playing was significantly influenced by Wes Montgomery and Herb Ellis. She released six albums with her own groups and a duet album with Larry Coryell.
