Le Petit Mort

Le Petit Mort

Le Petit Mort has been played on NTS shows including Cool World West w/ Coolwater, with Qui Est Nº 1? first played on 31 January 2017.

Official description from their myspace: It started out as a waste of time, and slowly the idea grew. What should have only been an experiment into the wonderful sounds of electronic pop music is now turning into yet another project for us to waste our time on.

The group consists of people from the music and DIY scene of a small town called Fredericia, in Jutland, Denmark. The members are also known from such bands as: When Midnight Kills, A Goodbye Fire, Autofokus, Haervaerk and As We Fight. Everyone has some kind of tie to the two fast growing DIY festivals - Fredericia Hardcore Festival and Forma Nova Festival - both located in Fredericia. The Members are now spread between Fredericia and Copenhagen but all recordings take place in the beautiful city of Fredericia at the Kmira Studio.

The aim is not yet clear. We know we want to have a good time whilst playing and making music. We know that our roots are in the Hardcore/punk/Post-rock/Indie scene. Therefore we take music seriously and have no intentions on "selling out", but how we combine this with our new experiment into the wonderful world of pop music is something we are still trying to figure out, but we think we might have found the way.

The lyrics are situated around various thought plays where the Danish language is the core, but also French and English is used. The subjects of the lyrics are: society, politics, culture, subcultures, and reflections on life already lived, presented as poetically as possible with underlying messages of pure individualistic opinions.

Even though there hasn't been a live appearance from Le Petit More yet, we have already gotten great response from several individuals and really appreciate this response. It makes us want to complete this attempt to combine pop with a non-commercial expression into some kind of strange bastard even more.
