Masaki Matsubara

Masaki Matsubara

Masaki Matsubara has been played on NTS in shows including Heat-Wave, featured first on 16 May 2017. Songs played include S.O.S. (Long Version) and Make It With Me.

Masaki Matsubara Born in 1954, Takefu, Fukui Prefecture (present Echizen city) and died on February 08, 2016.

Begin trombone with a brass band from junior high school entrance. I met a guitar when I was in 2nd grade. Even though I go on to high school, I will get into band activities. While graduating from high school, I will enroll in the NEM Conservatory (which was then in Mie Prefecture's Township), but I will come up to Tokyo six months after my teacher's advice. After that, he worked as a sessions / guitarist representing Japan, mainly in the studio work, through the US military camp band etc. It is by no means an exaggeration to say that the width of the recording session involves most of the major Japanese artists. The songs that have participated in recording so far have already exceeded 10,000 songs! In the late 70 's and 80' s, the songs that Matsubara participated in recording recorded the best ten program. In 1978, he released his first leader album "Ukimusu Sand", and since then he has announced 21 solo works. In 1974, he formed four albums with Hayashi Huso, Saito Knob, and now Rikyu, and released four albums, which gained great popularity among young people of those days. The 25th anniversary of the solo debut in 2002, the 30th anniversary live performance of 2008 was released on both CD and DVD, and it gets very popular. In 2000 's indie label "Rocking Chair Records", he continues to announce the "HUMARHYTHM" series which cherished the live performances of people who do not use driving and the like. Also, recording ~ MIX is also working on its own.
