Basa Basa Soundz

Basa Basa Soundz

Basa Basa Soundz has been played on NTS shows including Adam Oko, with African Disco Power (Sofrito Edit) first played on 15 June 2017.

Original sounds with roots in Africa, where music is just another language spoken everyday, everywhere. The BasaBasa Soundz is a powerful innovative force in todays music. Beginning with Francis Awunyor Tey on lead guitar, and Nii Ayitey II playing bass guitar & African flutes, the Jerry Lartey, and the heavy rhythms of his four congas, there is also Amoah Azangio of "Soul To Soul" fame, with his gourd rattles, the twin brothers John and Joseph Nyaku, featured on bass guitar, drums, and assorted percussion instruments including the African gongs. Tobahoun Abalo and his "Talking Drums of Ghana", plus and asssortment of drums including the "Master Drum". Special Thanks to Faisal Helwani on organ… A striking mixture of instrumental, and vocal selections, where the true spontaneity is captured. The BasaBasa treatment is sincere and sensitive. Ancient horned headdresses muti-colored hand woven Kente cloth attire, and adornments of leather, beads, feathers and gold. BasaBasa Soundz is both visibly & audibly a unique addition to the Contemporary music scene, and most definately an enhancement to the new wave of progressive music. Giants in dimension and innovation, we invite you to dare enter the world of BasaBasa Soundz. Basabasa translates to literally mean pandemonium.
