Abahambi has been played on NTS in shows including Pleasure Principle, featured first on 4 October 2017. Songs played include Song For My Baby.

The project Abahambi is a never mentioned band jazz-funk band from Johannesburg, South Africa, with the very famous bass-player Sipho Gumede, as the band leader. Their only album, containing material recorded in 1973, has been released in 2013 by Black Pearl Records. Unfortunately no more recording sessions of this particular formation are known. Sipho's reputation grew higher in the early 80s, while he produced the african Combo „Sakhile“.
