Joe Papa has been played on NTS shows including SKYAPNEA, with The Drowning Part 2 first played on 23 October 2017.

Joe Papa was a member of Controlled Bleeding from the early 1980s until its dissolution, a multi-instrumentalist, Joe also provided operatic vocals and scat singing for the band. He also performed on the Breast Fed Yak album Get Your Greasy Head Off The Sham with Controlled Bleeding bandmate Paul Lemos.
