1) Purr is an independent Japanese rock band that played fantastic music, but seems to have disappeared in December of 2001 after playing a show with other members of the LEE V CLEEF label.

2) Purr is an independent French rock band, but have ceased activity in 2001. They released 2 albums. 'Whales lead to the deep sea' in 1997 and 'Open Transport' in 2000, both on Prohibited records, a very active french underground label in the 90's.

3) Purr was a West Yorkshire inependent rock band made up of Tom Fazzini and Mark Sedgewick (also of A Small Good Thing).

Purr supported touring international acts such as Sleater Kinney and Bikini Kill. Two members of Purr, Kylie and Whilton, went on to form the shortlived band 'When Robots Rule'.
