Masterknot was first played on NTS on 19 November 2017. Songs played include Separation and Merge.

The project Masterknot started in June, 2017, from a live collaboration between David Datunashvili, Irakli Abramishvili and Gigi Jikia.

After the live concert, came the idea of recording an album, somewhere in a new environment and different circumstances. We took a direction towards Imereti (West-Georgia), Sachkhere District, Village Merjevi, where Irakli’s ancestral home is located.

With our musical equipment and instruments, we created a little studio and spent time there from 9th until 15th of July, which ended up being the name of this album.
