Ishraqiyun (اشرقون) is a Secret Chiefs 3 sub-band, based on complex structures using Middle-Eastern sounding, mathematical systems like Pythagorian scales. The name comes from Shahab al-Din Suhrawardi's (شهاب‌الدین سهروردی) teachings in Hikmat al Ishraq (حکمت‌الاشراق).
