Blackest Ever Black doing what they do best – connecting the dots between early industrial, doom, drone and the contemporary dance scene, pounding out the dreary sound of 21st century malaise.

Surabaya

Global grooves of Persian, Turkish, and Middle Eastern funk, with a touch of African rhythm.

Gaseneta

Gaseneta

Gaseneta has been played on NTS in shows including Crossed Wires w/ Amanda Siegel, featured first on 9 February 2018. Songs played include 父ちゃんのポーが聞こえる = Tochan No Poe Ga Kikoeru, Untitled and 社会復帰 = Shakaifukki.

Gaseneta (ガセネタ, disinformation or propaganda), along with Les Rallizes Dénudés, was one of the first Japanese groups to establish their own unique sound that took a huge step away from just emulating Western acts. Their frightening speed, flesh-melting acid edge, and total chaos were the original blueprint for later j-rock artists and groups such as High Rise. The band members - Hamano Jun (guitar), Yamazaki Harumi (vocals), Osato Toshiharo (bass) - were all involved in various other related underground projects at the time that helped shape the Japanese psych scene.

The "SOONER OR LATER" compilation, recorded in 1978 and released by PSF in 1991, is Gaseneta's only widely available release that captures the group in full-blistering flow.
