Just the Facts: Straight out of North London, Faction G, up and coming solo artist, Committee member and independent record label co c.e.o, started off mc-ing in late 2001. What simply started off as writing bars for fun soon presented itself as a more serious interest, when along with childhood friends R-Biz, T-Star and Mika formed The Committee. The four man collective started off recording sets, and it wasnt long before they got a slot on internet radio station www.2sgfm.co.uk. Hype soon built and they took the next natural step and got a show on the fm dial with a weekly slot, on North London based pirate station Subjam 104.7fm. As well as the 2sg show Faction started making contacts within the industry. It was around then that he hooked up with Rinse 100.3s DJ Logan Sama through older brother B-Live, features on his show along with some fiery guest appearances on Rossi B and Luca's show which put Faction in good stead with Rinse fms management. So when the Committees show on Subjam eventually ended it was inevitable that they found their new home on Londons leading pirate station Rinse 100.3 fm.
Facts not Fiction: Faction Gs debut track "Bounds (Got Dat)", produced by fellow Committee member T-Star was released to critical acclaim. Not only did it achieve UKG top ten chart status, but it also received a day time playlisting on the BBCs digital urban music station 1xtra.
Since then the Committee have formed their own record label Committee Recordings and released Faction G`s 14 track mix C.D the Facts not Fiction mixtape (hosted by Logan Sama) and more recently the 4 track vinyl the Committee E.P Vol.1.
Along with his own projects Faction has appeared on several mixtapes, DVDs and even a television programme (MTV and Channel 4`s recent interactive grime-soap Dubplate Drama).
The Fact Remains: Plans for the future include another mix CD (The Fact Remains), which is already in production. A music video to be filmed in the summer as well as working with and developing other up and coming artists within the grime scene. An endorsement and campaign for British designer label Box Fresh is also in the works
