Columbus Fruge has been played on NTS in shows including Death Is Not The End, featured first on 5 May 2018. Songs played include Bayou Teche and Bayou Teche.

An early child prodigy on accordion, Columbus Fruge began playing dances at the age of 11 around his hometown of Armaudville, Louisiana. In 1929, he recorded four sides for Victor, of which saut crapaud was included on the 1952 folksong compendium Anthology of American Folk Music.
