There are, at least, five artists with this name:

1) Amira Rasheed is a US singer who works frequently with house act Blaze (New Jersey). Best known for garage house singles Walk & My Desire. The latter gaining further success after being sampled for 2-step, by Dreem Teem.

2) A Bosnian singer Amira Medunjanin performs & records as Amira, her début album was Rosa.

3) A Norwegian rock band, formed in 2004, as part of the alternative rock scene in Trondheim. The band released their critically acclaimed debut, "amira EP", in 2007, and are currently in studio recording their upcoming full CD. Expected release late 2010.

4) A Russian hip-hop female MC, who released Legko Lyubit ("It Is Easy to Love").

5) A Tunisian singer. She launched her career from Egypt in the 1990s, singing primarily jeel music that was popular at the time.
