Throwing Shade has hosted the regular NTS show Throwing Shade, starting 25 May 2013. On 2 November 2015, Throwing Shade was a guest on The Do!! You!!! Breakfast Show w/ Charlie Bones; on 6 May 2015 was a guest on London Tracks; and on 19 March 2015 was a guest on London Tracks. Throwing Shade has been played over 20 times on NTS, first on 14 April 2014. Throwing Shade's music has been featured on 27 episodes.

Throwing Shade was a project from the producer and NTS Radio presenter, Nabihah Iqbal. Following on from her ‘Mystic Places’ 12” (released on Kassem Mosse’s Omnira imprint in October ’13), this new EP, entitled '19 Jewels' offers a further, intoxicating glimpse at her unique “cosmic R&B” and “digital soul”. Drawing in iridescent strains of popular music - from African and Asian modes to the grimey axis of London’s contemporary sound narrative - Throwing Shade creates a diverse and abstract sound patchwork on '19 Jewels', intangibly borne in the here-and-now.
