WHATS THAT SOUND, WHATS THAT SOUND! HOME BOY, HOME BOY! Home Boy aka Marko Pelaic was born 1982. in Langen, Germany. In his childhood, by the age of nine, he discovored his love for dance music and dancing, when he was jumping like a mad rabbit in his playroom, listening EMF, Micheal Jackson, Snap and Crystal Waters. But, the following years, where his parents moved him from Germany to Croatia, took him through different styles of music, beginnig with grindcore and ending with a passion for the jazz of the 60s. In this time of musical discovery, electronic music took also a fundemental place in his influences. He marks regulary school, just for listening tapes of Daft Punk and mixes of older friends that were involved into house music. After his high school degree in electronics, Marko moves back to Germany where he finished the School For Audio Engineering in Frankfurt a.M. In this period of study, a whole new era was about to happen. Visiting the Robert Johnson Club in Offenbach, mostly every weekend, he discovered again his deep passion for dancing and dance music. The igniting spark of the music played by the DJs Ata, Heiko MSO and Andrew Weatherall, took him back to his childhood and his playroom. Moving to Zagreb in 2005, he began to work as a frelancing journalist and audio engineer. In Summer 2005, his friends from the Kozmo Studios in Zagreb, asked him to produce the debut record of the talented breakbeat band Bilk This Bilk Is Radioactive. For that production he did get excellent comments by international producers, like Cristian Vogel. His musicals skills were trained since he started to play drums, with 12 years. The first drumset he owned was a self made noise maker, consisted of cans and pieces of metal. He get his first drum kit with 15. Then he started to play in a million different bands from Croatia to Germany. To advance his drumming skills and his musical mind, he visits the Summer Jazz Camp 2005 in Groznjan, Croatia.
