Natalia García Pasmanick, known profesionally as La Favi, is an American singer-songwriter. She was born on December 21, 1990 in San Francisco, United States. Raised in a family with deep musical roots, her connection to music was nurtured from an early age, also influenced by the multicultural diversity of her neighborhood in Glen Park and the various musical currents of the time and her Spanish roots. During her teens, La Favi joined the SF Girls Chorus and participated in local musical projects of her rapper friends as a backing vocalist and songwriter. Her foray into her own musical creation began in her bedroom, using her laptop and a notebook to record her compositions.
Her career started to blow up because of her verse in the song "Abrázame" , in collaboration of the panamanian duo "Los Rakas". In the summer of 2014, La Favi moved to Almeria, Spain, where she temporarily resided and struck up a crucial partnership with Ms Nina, who introduced her to the circle of Yung Beef and his group PXXR GVNG (now Los Santos). This introduction marked the beginning of her relationship with the record label La Vendicion, who were just beginning to form.
On March 7, 2017, La Favi released her debut EP “Reír & Llorar”, in collaboration with Peruvian DJ and producer Deltatron.
At the beginning of 2020, La Favi was preparing to leave San Francisco and visit Mexico with Ulises Lozano ‘El Licenciado’ to begin planning and producing a long-term project. However, these plans were cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic, which forced La Favi to remain in her hometown. In late August, Dinamarca revealed that he had recorded a 7-song project alongside La Favi. The two artists released a maxi-single featuring the songs "Sana Sana" and "By My Side" on September 9, 2020. "No Contestaste" was released as a promotional single on September 30. Eight days later, the cover art and release date for the collaborative EP were revealed. On October 23, the project finally came to light.
In early 2023, La Favi began promoting “Qué Hiciste,” a five-song EP that would become her first project released under Dim Mak En Fuego. This project included the singles previously released the previous year, as well as two new cuts, “Travesura” and “Bebiendo,” the latter a new collaboration with Ms Nina.
On February 17, 2023, La Favi released "Para Ti", which contained the same tracks as "Qué Hiciste", but this time the collaboration with Ms Nina was replaced by the EP's title track, produced by American artist YAWNS. This five-song selection served as a prelude to La Favi's debut album and brought her to the eyes of Billboard, who highlighted her "enigmatic charm" and "dreamlike sad girl lyricism", in addition to mentioning her production by El Licenciado and her debut under Dim Mak.
On March 31, "Esa Fui Yo" was released as a promotional single from her debut album. A month later, on April 28, La Favi released the collaboration with Ms Nina that was excluded from "Para Ti", titled "Bebiendo", along with its music video. During an Instagram broadcast, La Favi confirmed the title of her debut album, "No Es Igual" and revealed that it would be released in May of the same year. On May 8, La Favi revealed the album's cover and track listing, anticipating its release on May 26, 2023. In the first minutes of May 22, La Favi surprisingly released "Con Mis Gatas" as a preview of the album. "Mil Horas" and "Dártelo" were released on May 23 and 24, respectively. La Favi released “Contigo,” produced by YAWNS, as the album’s final single, along with its official video and the rest of the album, on May 26.
In October 2023, La Favi announced a joint EP with producer YAWNS, with whom she had been working earlier that year. “14 Mission” was scheduled to be released on November 9, but was eventually released two weeks later on November 27.
La Favi opened 2024 by collaborating with Manuka Honey and Safety Trance on the song "I Like It", released on February 10. On March 23, La Favi performed at Plaza Manuel Tolsá during the "Noche de Primavera" festival in Mexico City, as part of their tour.
