Foil has been played on NTS in shows including HKE - Lucid Radio, featured first on 22 March 2018. Songs played include Black Flags.

There are at least five bands called Foil.

1) A Scottish Four piece band who's first release was "Reviver Gene" in 1996. They went on to record two LP's and a whole host of singles. It's thought they have split up after no activity or releases via Mute their label.

2) A Seattle-area grunge rock group featuring Steve Wied, Scott Wade, Mike Mongrain and Mike Canavan. The band formed in 1990 and lasted through 1998.

3) A band from Melbourne Australia which was active in the 1990s. It featured Gus Till who is known for his work with the Beargarden, Models , Max Q, Third Eye and a number of other acts.

4) A hardcore punk band from Kansas City

5) A punk band from Gainesville, FL, circa 1990.
