Writer, historian and DJ Bill Brewster showcasing two hours of love, laughter, and music.
Dreamt up in November 1987 by Matt Haynes and Clare Wadd, Sarah Records became an outlet for uniquely pretty guitar pop inspired by independent labels likes Postcard and Creation. Wadd and Hayne's loving outpour of releases was relatively short but beautifully sweet, introducing the world to the music of The Sea Urchins, The Field Mice and countless others until its so-called "destruction" in 1995. Often overlooked and frequently attacked by the contemporary UK music press, then a breeding ground for pointless macho posturing and self-congratulatory critical hit pieces, the Sarah Records discography has aged spectacularly well. The same can't be said for many of the baggy bands & grunge identikit acts that were the critical darlings of the era. This In Focus is a two hour meander through the timeless, sunny pop music of Sarah Records.

Bryan "Shank" Thompson & Paul Scott B.O.P. stands for Brothers of Peace
Comprised of Bryan "Shank" Thompson and Paul Scott, two talented artists from New Jersey, Brothers Of Peace have definitely made their mark in dance music. Shank Thompson began his journey into dance music as a DJ. After much time refining his talent, Shank masterminded P&S productions, which rented out different venues and would attract up to 2000 people for a night of dancing. Possessing a very sharp ear for mixing and sound quality, this made the transition into studio production and remixing very natural. Shank graduated to doing remixes for local dance labels and then released a solo project on Sleeping Bag Records. Shortly after, Shank teamed up with Paul Scott and formed B.O.P. Paul Scott's interest in music developed at a very early age. Dance music penetrated his mind in the days of the literal "house parties". In Paul's teen years, DJing and playing in local bands had developed simultaneously. Shortly after, he hooked up with Ace Beat Records and recorded his first solo project a few years later while working at Club Sensation and Studios. Shank was introduced to Paul and the rest is history still being made. B.O.P. was formed in the early 90's. Realizing the strength of the team, B.O.P. decided to take on producing dance music full time. In titling most of they're A side track mixes as "B.O.P. Til U Drop", that's exactly what listeners all over the world were in store for. With hits like, "Just Us", "Feel Like Singing", "Got A Love For You" and "You Bring Me Joy" the new dance team on the block are making their mark in the dance scene.
