Predmestje

Predmestje

Predmestje has been played on NTS shows including The Extended Play Sessions w/ Mr Pedro, with Živim Za Jutri first played on 10 November 2018.

Predmestje (eng. "Suburb"), was a Slovenian jazz rock / fusion band, formed in 1975 in Ljubljana. The founding members were Peter Gruden (guitar, vocal), Andrej Pompe (keyboards), Aleksander Malahovsky (saxophone), Janez Hvale (drums) and Gabriel Lah (bass). They played mostly instrumental music. In 1977 they released their debut album, Brez naslova, which immediately established them as an important jazz rock / fusion ensemble in the former Yugoslavia. A year later, Danes, včeraj in… followed and in 1980 came their third album, Hazard. Their last album, Kamasutra, released in 1982, marked the slight change in music style, as Predmestje incorporated some new wave, ska and pop elements into their music and also added more vocals. The same year Predmestje disbanded.
