There are at least two artists with the name Rainman.
Rainman is a solo moniker used by Dutch musician, singer and songwriter, Frank Nuyens. A former member of The Hague's sleaziest garage beat band, Q65, Nuyens recorded the album Rainman in 1971: a collection of songs influenced by British folkrock and singer-songwriters from the American Westcoast.
For years, Rainman has been building serious skills on mic and decks alike, cementing his presence within the Brisbane and Sydney hip-hop scenes. He has DeeJayed countless parties and shows with brother Steve B (First Bourne) as the Bourne Brothers. In 2000 and 2001, he held down Brisbane's much-loved Drop Zone nights - one of the city's premier hip-hop breeding grounds - also rocking live shows with local pioneers Decipher. He regularly guest-performs with the likes of The Coalition Crew and The Serenity and has appeared at such prestigious festivals as the Big Day Out and Livid. Rainman caused an underground stir early this year via a collaboration with Sydney's Bingethinkers on the State of Origin compilation CD. That was only the beginning…
