Longhair

Longhair has been played on NTS shows including Rhythm Connection, with Squirt first played on 24 February 2019.

longhair is the recording project of London/Kent musician Jason Knight, who has been the bass guitarist in in rock bands including Planet of Women, Sinnerstar and Lick That. longhair music is described as "Heavy Rock, Twisted Noise and Sweet Melody at its most emotional."

Self-released longhair CD/cassette singles and EPs have been produced since 1997.

The Punk-sounding "A Song For The Masses" was published on the Italian "Fila Rock Compilation CD for Running" shop launch product in 2001.

A couple of cover versions have been recorded: "Beautiful Thing You" (The Wildhearts) was for an Italian Wildhearts Tribute web-site in 2000; "How Come It Never Rains" (The Dogs D'Amour) for "Their Hearts Caught Fire", a special charity project in 2008 that was a tribute to Trace 'trace-da-space' Warnaby, a friend and music lover who died from cancer in 2006.

Not to be confused with New Orleans blues musician Professor Longhair.
