Hans Philip started his career by rapping over other artists' beats but instead wanted to find someone who could make original beats. Through mutual friends, he met Jens Ole McCoy in 2010, and together they created the halter project Skørmand. On 2 June 2011, they performed at the Copenhagen music festival Distortion.
