Heinz originally started as a bass guitarist with the Tornados. He then embarked on a solo career recording 'Just Like Eddie' using session musicians, this hit number 3 in the UK charts. Later on he had a backing group called The Wild Boys who were, Richie Blackmore (Guitar) Brian Woods (Bass) Dave Adams (Keyboards) Ian Broad (Drums). Thier biggest hit for Heinz and the Wild Boys was Questions I can't answer, this reached number 39.

They were produced by Joe Meek.

Heinz Burt was born in 1942 and sadly passed away after suffering from Motor Neurone Disease in April 2000. Richie Blackmore went on to play with Deep Purple and become one of the greatest guitarests of all time, Brian Woods still lives in Hoylake on the Wirral. He was also with Freddie Starr & the Midnighters and still played into the 1980's on the local scene. Dave Adams is believed to be currently living in Buffulo in the USA. Ian Broad also lives in the USA, believed to be sunning himself in Florida Keys.
