The Splendours

The Splendours has been played on NTS in shows including Full Beam! FM , featured first on 26 May 2019. Songs played include Risky.

Melbourne Rock/Garage/Powerpop band, The Splendours.

"Complete, pretence free, straight-up fun. Wearing their influences unapologetically on their wife-beater sleeves, sounding like the perfect mix of every guitar driven band of the last two decades automatically making me wish it was January again and resolving to drink more long-necks in the sun next time around.

Sporting the tried and try band dynamic of dual guitarists and vocalists, intermittently demanding us to ‘get up the front and fucking move’, the stoic bass player and the drummer playing with Muppet-style of enthusiasm and energy. Despite my distaste for the term, onomatopoeically speaking ‘rollicking’ keeps coming to mind. Promises of new recordings are made as they retreat the stage for the bar, which leaves next summer’s soundtrack sorted."
