Jed Speare was born in Boston in 1954. He has lived and worked in San Francisco, Amsterdam, and Warsaw, and resides in Boston today. He studied music composition at the Philadelphia Musical Academy from '72-'76 and Acoustic Communication at the Sonic Research Studio in Burnaby, Vancouver in 1978.
