Brett Henderson is a San Francisco based electronic music producer known professionally as COMPUTER DATA. An early childhood infinity for acoustic percussion married with his background in computer science laid the foundation for his artistic direction. Actualizing an aura of nostalgic sentiment in his music through recognizable 80s and 90s influence, COMPUTER DATA creates beats for the introspective mind. His music infuses elements of early electronic music with cloudy, distant and moody sensuality. Every track imparts a melancholic warmth in a analog synth fueled soundscape. COMPUTER DATA’s beats are influenced by the notion of the universality of electronic music and emotional transference without words. He finds music inseparable from the fundamental human experience. In 2014, COMPUTER DATA began producing electronic music which led to his first releases in 2017. His self-released, first single “Overload” gained international traction in the United Kingdom. In May of 2018, his track “Alright” was met with warm reception and was released under his imprint, "pure bread records ltd". COMPUTER DATA’s second single of 2018, “Alles” signified a musical metamorphosis, where his style shifted toward more dancefloor oriented music. Following his early success, in the September of 2018, he released his first EP, “Traumfolge,” and has plans for a second EP releasing on the Melbourne based label, “clipp.art” later this year.
