Born in Chicago, the son of an electrical engineer and classically trained pianist. Natan H was raised surrounded by diverse sounds and wild electronics. After spending most of his life making music, 2006 found Natan in Los Angeles, where he studied computer programming and electrical engineering for music and interactive arts. In 2009 Natan moved to New Zealand to spend the next three years pursuing his PHD and further developing his sound. Now currently based in Los Angeles, Natan is working on various music projects while teaching music technology and interactive multimedia. When not working on music he is developing new instruments for live performance, custom music software, plugins and interactive installation work. Early 2012 saw his debut release on Ethereal Sound, followed by an EP on Scenic music. With a VA on Batti Batti. Later this December we will see forthcoming EP’s on Mysterious Russian Soul and ManMakeMusic, as well as additional remix work, things are looking quite exciting for Natan in the new year.
Natan explains “In my podcasts, I like to celebrate the artists whose music I’ve really been enjoying at the moment, while exploring the deeper shades of house and techno. So in this mix I’ve included a mixture of old and new, some unreleased material of mine, and some forthcoming tracks I’m excited about from labels and artists I appreciate”.
