Roland Schaeffer has been played on NTS shows including All Styles All Smiles, with Big Piece - Big Peace first played on 18 February 2020.

Roland Schaeffer grew up in Baden-Baden. Following his graduation he studied saxophone and bass at the Hochschule für Musik in Karlsruhe. He founded the jazz-rock band Pink Fashion, in 1968, renamed Brainstorm in 1972. After the dissolution of Brainstorm, in 1975, he joined the band Guru Guru, with whom he played until 1982.
