In chronological order

1) Send No Flowers were a Liverpool band from 1981 to 1983 featuring Lin Sangster (on guitar and vocals), Jake Wakstein (on drums), Paul Sangster (on bass), and Timmo O’Shea (on guitar). They had songs on two compilation cassettes (“Adventures In Reality” and “Index #2″) before signing to the Praxis label (the label that also released The Balcony). It appears they released just one 7″ “Playing For Time” b/w “Wall of Convention” and “One More Day” before calling it a day. Lyn Sangster and Jake Wakstein both went on to form the fantastic Play Hard Records band Kit and Paul Sangster went on to play sessions in The High Five.

Other notable things… Robert Blamire (who played bass in Pauline Murray And The Invisible Girls) co-produced the “Playing For Time” single. I also read that the drummer of The Wild Swans, Alan Wills, played with the band during live performances.

3) Send No Flowers (also sometimes written 'Send NØ Flowers') was a British rock band who signed to the East West Records label in 1995, and released their EP Monotony in the same year. In 1996 the band released their debut album Juice, which was produced by Paul Johnson (on the tracks "Sepia" and "Porcelain") and Sank (on all other tracks).

Send No Flowers debuted as Agent Orange in Plymouth, England in 1992. They had a record deal with the label East West Records and in late 1995 toured with the heavy metal band Skid Row[1]. They were also supported by the now well established and successful rock band Feeder on several occasions.

In 1995 Agent Orange changed their name to "Send No Flowers" (a U.S. band called Agent Orange had been using the name for some time).
