Ritmo Santanero is an all-vinyl cumbia DJ Crew based out of Santa Ana, CA consisting of DJ’s Rigo Suave, Gary Ventura, LX Ramirez, and Kevin Hernandez. The revered cumbia connoisseurs locally dubbed “Los Reyes Cumbieros” are each seasoned vinyl collectors in their own right. Their highly-curated selection ranges from porros, gaitas, rebajadas, to rare tracks and beloved classics - all on 45s. Ritmo Santanero stands out as an artistic contender in the Southern California sonidero scene as the trio expands out of Santa Ana and into Long Beach, and Los Angeles - bringing the best all-vinyl cumbia night to a town near you. Spinning a mix of cumbia genres from of all corners of the world, Ritmo Santanero is reviving the once-dormant sonidero culture of the 90’s, yet deviating from the announcement-heavy tradition by letting the music do the talking.

Workforce

Workforce

Workforce has been played on NTS shows including Foundation, with Your Moves first played on 8 March 2020.

There are at least six groups / artists called Workforce:

Workforce is the new solo alias of Jack Stevens; one half of Drum & Bass duo, SpectraSoul.
With three critically acclaimed studio albums, countless EP, singles and remixes under his belt and having toured the world for over a decade, Jack presents his first solo venture: Workforce.
With his own, new imprint - Must Make Music - and plenty of new material to showcase, Workforce marks the beginning of a new chapter for the drum & bass stalwart.
May 2019 saw the release of Late Night Soundtrack Vol.1 which marked the beginning of the Workforce journey, sparking interest across the dance music community — with support from BBC Radio 1, DJ Mag, Mix Mag, and UKF. In September of the same year, Stevens dropped Late Night Soundtrack Vol.2; a diverse EP including staple tracks that have featured heavily in many DJ's sets throughout the summer, and featuring the vocal talents of SP:MC.
To cap off a huge 2019, Stevens returns to dBridge's Exit Records with a six track EP, including one of the anthems of 2019; 'Your Moves'.

A short-lived Canadian disco group, active in 1983

A British electronic/industrial group with connections to Cabaret Voltaire and Clock DVA, active 1985-1986, members Alan Fisch (Hula), Paul Wheatcroft (Ashley & Jackson), Rod Leigh (I'm So Hollow), Terry Todd (The Box, The Comsat Angels, The Bone Orchestra), Tim Owen (Naked Pygmy Voles).

A Boston based synthpop band, active 1988 to 1990, formed by ex-Doppler Effect members James Straight, Geoffrey Davis

A Connecticut based hip hop group formed in 2009 consisting of producer/rapper Dirt E. Dutch and rapper Howl Digg. Bio: "I get down with the grit 'n grime/ so until I get mine I'm gonna stay on the grind/and use the rhyme as a tool to build/cause there's empty space that needs to get filled," raps Workforce's Hawl Digg (pictured) on "Set It Straight." Digg's lyrics are positive without being corny, confident without being boastful and old-school without being outdated. DJ and producer the Dirty Dutchman serves him well with samples from the Curtis Mayfield era of soul, one that's spiritually akin to Workforce's gangsta-free urban sound. Danbury natives and childhood friends, Digg and the Dutchman became addicted to hip-hop when "Rapper's Delight" swelled beyond New York City. "[W]e've seen all the good and bad that hip-hop has to offer," says the Dutchman. "We formed Workforce in 2004 to promote more of the good and less of the bad."

Melodic Rock / AOR from the USA. Their debut was released in 1989 on Scotti Brothers and ended up as a hard to find cd.

Band Members :
Ron Kimball - Lead vocals, bass, guitar Rick Henry - Bass, guitar, vocals Ralph F. Henry Jr. - Guitar, keys, bass, vocals Scott Henry - Drums, percussion Chris Holmes - Keyboards, vocals Rich Mello - Guitar, vocals

Their 2nd album was recorded, but never released until 2004. Their 2nd album is called Wrecked, Welded & Wet
