Natural Born Dankstas is a hip-hop duo from Vallejo, California that consists of M-Dash and Tilt.
The Bay Area is world renowned for the shot callin, boss ballin mob style type of flow. But in the days of all the word shifting and high performance deliveries, emerges the answer for the listener, sittin low in his old school, with the windows rolled up and a blunt the size of Broadway burning.
NBD (Natural Born Dankstas) are the new diamonds to shine out of the golden state, hittin you with 15 trunk rattling tracks, filled with smoked out, layed back, mob flows, that will give you a contact equivalent to a case of chocolate phillies and a boat load of Humbolt County green being hot boxed in a Miata.
25 year old M-Dash aka ‘The Hemp Hogg’ and 23 year old Tilt, ‘The Undisputed Danksta’, met in high school in the early 90′s. Both moving from different sections (urban) of California, M-Dash (Vallejo) and Tilt (San Diego) also both being raised by single mothers, sought out a better chance in life, by moving to smaller, less chaotic south Bay Area cities, giving them the opportunity to chase there dreams. Both being aliens to there new environment and also being MC’s, the new kids on the block made a fast rep for being high power MC’s. The two were soon matched up in a collaborative crew of hard core MC’s called ‘CAL’, (Crazy Ass Lunatics). As the years went by M-Dash and Tilt grew to be best friends and started a crew of there own in 1992, Natural Born Dankstas.
Since then NBD has been laying down underground tracks and doing local show’s gaining recognition and respect from some of there Bay Area cronies like, Mac Dre hailing from M-Dashes hometown. Their debut album Preliminary Hearing was released on M-Dash’s independent label Platinum Bound Entertainment, featuring hot tracks like, "Trying To Have It", "Don't Tamper Wit My Crew," and a special dedication song "See Ya Up In God's House," in memory of M-Dash’s late uncle, Louis A. McCall, whom was the leader and drummer of the funk legend band Con Funk Shun, is sure to get heavy rotation in any region of the globe.
