LA. Connection

LA. Connection

LA. Connection has been played on NTS in shows including The Do!! You!!! Breakfast Show w/ Charlie Bones, featured first on 29 July 2015. Songs played include Jealousy and Come Into My Heart.

This 8 piece funk band from Louisiana (hence the spelling "LA.", instead of "L.A.") was discovered by Cameo frontman Larry Blackmon, who produced their first and only album, Now Appearing, released in 1982. The album features the entire Cameo cast but failed due to weak promotion.

LA. Connection can also be heard playing on the 1982 Cameo album "Alligator Woman".

The band's founder, Roger Harris, also headed another one of Blackmon's production efforts, Mantra.
