Daryl Johns is an American bassist, songwriter, and recording artist. Daryl has performed [and/or] recorded with musicians such as Mac Demarco, The Lemon Twigs, Pat Metheny, Pedro Martins, Vijay Iyer, Macy Gray, and Immanuel Wilkins, to name a few. Though primarily known as the favored upright bassist of his generation and for his general work as a freelance bassist, Daryl has steadily begun to gain notoriety as a solo artist, writing and recording songs that span among the genres of jazz fusion, to pop rock, to shoegaze, to sped up pop, and to even pop of a certain Irish quality. He is currently based in Los Angeles , and is currently finishing off his debut record.
