With Hazel Scott

Timeless jazz and classical piano sounds from Trinidadian-born Hazel Scott. Scott was a regular performer on US variety and music television shows in the 1930s and 1940s, including being the first Black American to host their own TV show, "The Hazel Scott Show". During this period she was a renowned talent and household name, famed for her ability to play two pianos simultaneously, and her penchant for "swinging the classics".

Her renown was unfairly stained in 1950, being blacklisted under McCarthyism, and forced to testify to the House of Representatives. Scott fled to Paris and didn't return to the US until the late 1960s.
