zulu - A Walk in Mbalmayo

Paris-based producer zulu presents M as Melancholia: A Night in Mbalmayo

"It’s a tribute to the time I spent with my cousins at a bar in Mbalmayo. Cameroon is known for its iconic jazz musicians like Manu Dibango, but also for popular styles and songs like Mbolé. However, I’m focusing on the melancholic side of Cameroonian music. It’s something we don’t hear often, but it’s a significant part of the country’s musical landscape."
