Self and Other - Prayer of All that is We

Bristol, 03.10.24

‘We fly to the heart-beat of the middle of the earth, of the time before times, when matter didn’t exist and names were nameless. … Our feathered wings knew many faces. We were the feathered dragon’s flight, Quetzalcoatl, made of myth and magic, swallowed the sun and used its rays as our witchcraft. We were the feathered dinosaurs, older and outliving any cage, we laid eggs that mimicked the moons, soft silver glowing over all the galaxy’s millions of lightless nights. We formed a bridge to earth; spirits rode our backs to visit in the living, invisible, we were made of all the luminescent colors that exist, dignity on our back. … Our wings flew us, we swayed through the air over your poison, in trance by the billion suns that rose over our iridescent feathers. Devoted, in love, flying like an arrow in memory and prayer of all that is we.’
