Florence Scott-Anderton takes look at the sonics of lesbian cinema - from the butch to the femme found through the sounds of pioneering lesbian art filmmakers such as Barbara Hammer, Sadie Benning and Cecilia Dougherty, desert cowgirl yearnings, dated BBC library archive documentaries, unseen UK 70s cinema, direct to TV of the trash variety, 90s favourites and important contemporary touchstones such as Leilah Weinraub’s Shakedown.
