PAM, previously host of beloved NTS show Okonkole Y Trompa, joins you for a dawn chorus every Thursday. Traversing obscure rarities, globetrotting vintage pop and beyond.
In times when the powers that be try to control through fear, we must maintain the revolution through collective joy.
In this mix my aims were to…
…encapsulate joy through bright, bouncy, bassy house.
…encapsulate revolution through representation of communities near and dear to my heart, particularly femme/female and Asian/Asia-based producers.
May we rage on and dance til the gloom is gone.

This episode of Architects was curated by wonderful Brontë Jane and centers around Sounds of Hawai'i as a living entity. Originally formed in 1962, the now defunct Sounds of Hawai'i was owned by engineer Herb Ono and acted as one of the oldest recording/mixing studios on the island of Oahu. It attracted the likes of Hui 'Ohana, Gabby Pahinui, Sonny Chillingworth, and more. This show is a homage to the many sounds that were created at 1084 Young Street, Honolulu, Hawaii.
