Breakwave - Trahere

The sound contained on this broadcast consists of low level vibration recordings, taken from a Liverpool > Manchester train ride. The Liverpool and Manchester railway (L&M) opened on 15 September 1830. Work on the L&M began in the 1820's to connect the major industrial city of Manchester with the nearest deep water port at the port of Liverpool. Contact mic's and LOM Geofón were attached to the train at different points, presented is the secret sounds of this sombre structure. Use of headphones or full-range speakers is advised.
