While the rest of their electronic music contemporaries in the late 1990s reached for dancefloor ecstacy and big room bombast, French duo Air paved an influential path with a more delicate and atmospheric sound. Taking inspiration from old school film composers and vintage synthesiser wizards like Burt Bacharach, Isao Tomita and Vangelis, they shot to success with a distinct sonic world. Bristol based Londoner and Soft Raw label owner Danielle, takes over for an hour a month, running through a broad spectrum of dance music - from ambient to leftfield, techno, electro & beyond.
