This episode digs into the history of country music in Eswatini (Swaziland). As a new documentary on Dusty & Stones hits streaming services, we trace the genre’s roots—from early stars like Buddy Masango and Isaac Gamedze to a new generation of artists. Featuring interviews with Dusty & Stones and rare archival music via director Jesse Rudoy, we follow the duo’s path from local Country Jamborees to the Grand Ole Opry, blending country sounds with local genres along the way.
This month's Demon Poetry is a guest mix by DJ Lee (Metalheadz, 31 Records), former resident of two of the most important jungle/dnb nights ever: LTJ Bukem and Fabio's "Speed", and Metalheadz Blue Note Sessions. Lee is definitely a "DJs DJ", and doesn't usually do guest mixes, so it's quite cool he did this for us / the station. The mix is 60 minutes of classic atmospheric jungle, including a lot of hidden gems and a few unreleased tunes.
