Discotchari Presents: Armenian Retro-Ballads and Garden Fresh Picks

For all of its residents and visitors, Dilijan is a retreat from the noise of the world, deeply wrapped in sub-alpine forests that turn to tundra at their peaks. Its most beautiful manifestations are its simplest; a natural serenity that is impossible for the mind to resist. Pear, walnut, cornel, apple trees and more coexist with the rivers and ruminants that wander freely throughout the layered mountain landscape.

This set was mostly inspired by the harmonious scenery that Dilijan is best known for. A soundtrack of acoustic ballads, cheerful chanson, cool jazz and ethereal love songs, matching the ebb and flow of blossoms hanging from the trees. Together, these songs also highlight the various, cross-cultural musical identities that have inspired several generations of Armenian artists.
